Fiona qualified in December 1991 from University College Hospital London. For her elective studies she compared general practice in Toronto Canada. She started full time work in January 1992, initially a vocational trainee, and then an associate, in a mixed practice in a medical complex in Northampton. In 1994, increasing her surgical experience, she had a part-time honorary clinical assistant position at the maxillo-facial unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital. After leaving Northampton in 1999, Fiona travelled and also had a locum position in general practice.
Fiona enjoys post-graduate studies in general dentistry and in 2003 earned a diploma in post-graduate dental studies from Bristol University (DPDS) and gained extra experience from aesthetic courses in Sweden and Belgium. She also spent two years in a mixed practice in Warwickshire then a year in a specialist private practice in Mahé, Seychelles, finally returning to Leicester and joining the Carisbrooke Specialist Dental Practice in April 2004, where she is a generalist with an interest in cosmetic dentistry.
Once with the Carisbrooke practice Fiona continues with her post-graduate studies, completing the Dr Mike Wise and Dr Chris Orr one-year courses in general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry respectively.
Fiona enjoys spending time with her young family, running and yoga in her spare time.
