TMJ: A Multidisciplinary Approach
29th June 2015
Carisbrooke associate dentist Chris Dakin attended the “TMJ: A Multidisciplinary Approach” conference from Feb 19th-21st in Madrid. The aim of the meeting was to bring together clinicians and academics from around the world to share clinical experiences and the latest research in treatment of patients with TMJ (jaw joint) dysfunction. In a busy two-and-a-half days, speakers from Europe, and North and South America presented viewpoints from restorative dentistry, orthodontic, physical therapy and facial pain perspectives.
Chris has an interest in this area following his training with The Dawson Academy in the UK and Florida, and feels that the information presented will help him more effectively treat patients with some of these problems, as well as making his treatment of restorative cases more predictable.
